A native Chicagoan, Shawnise Taylor completed her undergraduate work at Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. She received her M.S. in 2004 from Tennessee State University as well. She has been state licensed and ASHA certified since 2005.
Shawnise Taylor has extensive management and supervision experience in both the private and public sectors. Her past positions include serving as the Therapy Program Manager for two skilled nursing facilities. She most recently served as a speech language pathologist supervisor for speech paraprofessionals in a south suburban school district. She is dually licensed in the states of Illinois and Indiana and practices in both states. She has also been active in academics and is currently working on completing her doctorate in a doctoral program for speech language pathology.
Shawnise Taylor is the member of many organizations including the Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, and American Speech Language Hearing Association. She exhibits continuous efforts to keep Advancement Tx a viable face in the community. She strives to contribute to the field of communication disorders by providing compassion, professionalism, and practicing the latest evidence based techniques.
